Assuming, and even requiring, that all travelers have medical coverage does not shield the host organization from liability. Inadequate coverage, or the trip leader's lack of training to assist a traveler during an emergency, accident, or sickness, can lead to out-of-pocket expenses which the ministry may be obligated to cover.
Each year Serving Abroad helps thousands of church-trip organizers reduce the liability they assume while hosting international trips. To better server our clients, we have established a unique plan design, intended specifically for church groups, that boasts a low daily cost of only $2 per person. Once accepted, a coverage card with a copy of the group policy will be mailed to the trip organizer for each traveler.
